About Us

“working together to provide the most effective counsel possible

Pyfer Partners is a comprehensive law firm that utilizes a team approach in the practice of law. Since our founding in 1976, we have grown steadily and our current staff includes seven attorneys, five paralegals and an eleven person support staff. Our breadth of talent enables Pyfer Partners to advise our clients on a wide range of issues, often with multiple professionals working together to provide the most effective counsel possible. In addition to being officers of the Courts, lawyers are called to be upstanding citizens and community leaders. Pyfer, Straub, Gray & Farhat, P.C. actively encourages its members to participate in community affairs.

Selecting an Attorney

We will help you select the right member of our staff to handle your case. After you explain your legal matter, you will be referred to the attorney with our firm who is best qualified to handle your case. Each attorney concentrates on specific areas of the law and pursues continuing legal education in his/her area of expertise.

Attorney/Client Relationship

The relationship between a client and his or her attorney requires complete trust and confidence. To that end, it is important to understand that you are not obligated to retain our firm and we are not obligated to take your case if we do not feel comfortable with one another.

If you choose to retain us, we will keep you fully informed on the progress of your case. Sometimes you will hear from us by telephone and sometimes by memorandum or by way of an informational copy of a letter which we have sent or received. Please feel free to contact us with questions if you have any concerns regarding your case. Regardless of the type of case, each of our clients is important to us.

Fees

We attempt to handle our clients' legal matters as economically and promptly as possible. In most cases, our fees are based on the time actually spent on your file, complexity of the work involved and the results achieved. Some work is undertaken on an hourly basis, for other cases a flat fee is appropriate. In many cases, we request a deposit. Before you decide to retain our firm, there should be a clear understanding about the extent of the work we are authorized to do. We will discuss the types of legal work, remedies and alternatives required in your case and the estimated time and expense involved. Typically, our fees fall into one of two categories:

We bill most of our clients on a monthly basis. If, as the work progresses, there are unexpected developments which require a longer time to complete your work, or greater expense than originally anticipated, we will inform you as soon as this is recognized.
